Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my appreciation to our shareholders and investors for your support and cooperation.
Although the global economy triggered by the Lehman Shock has shown a sign of recovery from the recession, we still have to carefully watch when and how we can fully recover from it. Our business performance initially had an adverse effect from the recession, it has improved and expanded steadily that led to the establishment of more stable profit base, one of our business objectives, to a certain extent. Now, I believe that we are in a stage of seeking further growth and development from the stage of taking protective measures for the recession.
In such an important timing, I am very honored to be appointed as president and also deeply feel the weight of mission and responsibility bestowed upon me. I promise to assume our continued mission of “Heading Toward Growth”
I will further pursue to enhance our core value as one of our basic business policies. In other words, we will provide our customers with higher added value through the differentiated technology and products, as well as foster high profitable businesses. For the purpose of developing differentiated technology and products, I will manage the company with the focus on creating innovation.
For the time being, we will enhance three business areas; network business, database business, and high speed system boot business, to expand the profit base and obtain a stable profit. In the network business, under the long-term vision as “Realization of ubiquitous network”, we will continue a certain level of investment. For the database business and the high speed system boot business both of which are to be our major profit source over the medium run, we will accelerate the development and expansion. Particularly, we will focus on introducing Ubiquitous QuickBoot, a high speed system boot solution, to the market and enjoy profits from it as soon as possible.
We will also actively tackle to develop new technology and products that are the next innovation following QuickBoot. We hope you will expect and welcome our next innovation.
I will do my best to expand our business and further increase the shareholder value. I honestly ask your kind cooperation and understanding as given to my predecessor.
